Head band

A delightfully soft head band hand knitted in finest quality pure 100% alpaca wool. It will keep your ears lovely and warm. It features a beautiful herringbone pattern which gives it a soft, lofty feel. It's perfect for walking the dogs or any outdoor activity, keeping your hair under control! Also great for when you don't want "hat hair"!

Alpaca is four times warmer than lambswool and it doesn't pill (bobble), so you will find this earwarmer looks good for ages.

You won't need to wash it often as the properties of the natural fibre repel dirt and moisture. When you do wash it, hand wash in warmish (about 30 degrees) water with delicate detergent or shampoo and it will wash brilliantly and stay like new. Do not tumble dry, just lie flat to dry.

Mamacha produces luxury alpaca knitwear for men and women designed in England and lovingly hand made by expert knitters in Peru. In 2008 we began working with a women's co-operative on the outskirts of Lima with the aim of providing employment for struggling families. We discovered some fantastic knitters with incredible skills, who needed a little help designing and marketing knitwear, and that is how our story began. You can enjoy your purchase in the knowledge you have made a difference to a family in Lima.

All of our 100% alpaca products are made using top quality, truly luxurious alpaca fibre which we source from the highly regarded Peruvian manufacturer 'Michell'. It is known for its softness, superior warmth, lightweightedness and durability - it will last much longer than synthetic fibres.
