Mamacha provides work for women living in poverty in remote areas of Peru. Women knit and sew our designs at home, which allows them to support their families and pay for food, education, medicines and other basic necessities.

We have helped to establish small community projects that are able to reach out to individuals who are most in need of an income.  We have seen inspirational examples of women using their income to pay for their child's hospital treatment, or a cooking stove, or a roof for their shanty shack.

At three of our groups, alpaca wool and knitting needles are provided to the women free of charge and they are paid immediately. They are very grateful for the chance to earn a living and are so proud that their work is loved by people in other parts of the world.

Please email us if you would like a catalogue of our original, unique knitwear range.
