With a genuine appreciation for quality and detail, we are inspired by the craftsmanship and age old skills mastered by Peruvian women. We value products for how they are made, by whom and why. Since 2005 we have worked with small community projects in Peru where women have a chance to earn a living. Mamacha seeks authenticity of materials and always remembers the importance of tradition and culture.
WOMAD 2014...... If you are lucky enough to be at WOMAD this weekend then come and see us! We're near the Madras cafe this year (not in our usual spot near the yoga tent).
"I'm really happy with my green/cream alpaca and silk shawl; only bought it a week ago, but it's had two outings already and I know it will be a firm favourite. Deliciously soft and warm, and not too "slippy"; I've ordered another in navy. Feels much more expensive than it was; and the profits are being shared. Thanks from a happy customer." Diane

"Hi Amy, I met you at the End of the Road festival where I bought a belt from you and my friend Phil a cardigan for his nephew. I had a chance to wear the belt on a couple of occasions this week, and got some rather nice compliments! I wanted to write to you to say how pleased I’m with my purchase and also – well done for doing what you do." Sveta
"Hi Amy, I thought I would let you know that the zipped jumper that I bought for my husband today has been very gratefully received. He has been saying how warm, yet lightweight it is so I think it will become a firm favourite. I have not been so successful with clothes for him for a long time. It is wonderful to find something of such good quality. Best wishes, Carey"
"A lovely jumper, and a really good fit." Michael
"Hi Amy, Just like to say a quick thank you for the grey shawl/scarf I got from you at the UK Aware show! It’s great – so useful and I wear it all the time! Thanks, Ricki"
"Hi Amy, It was really a pleasure to meet you at your stall today. The scarf is truly a nice find! I'm in love with it. I just did a little research into your website and alpaca wool, I'm quite impressed with your project! Best wishes, Vivien"
"Hi Amy, I bought a beautiful pair of fingerless gloves today for my daughter at her school fair, she is so pleased with them, so thankyou. I have been looking at your website - well done for making such an incredible difference. Kind Regards, Benita"
