My plain black poncho arrived this morning. I wanted a symmetrical, plain warm poncho to wear inside and out in a lovely yarn that was reasonable priced and have been hunting for a long time for this 'Holy Grail' item. I put it on and feel like a million dollars.
It's wonderful - amazing quality and so comfortable. It's rich black and that it won't bobble is a huge bonus.
I like the products and the values that Mamacha offers. Peruvian styles are lovely in Peru but hard to wear in the west. Mamacha's things are very wearable and compare with upmarket labels like Brora... but buying them benefits Peruvian women and they are better value.
I hope during the impending Western capitalist orgy that is Christmas to buy some of my presents on here and it won't be hard to find lovely things that my friends and family will be thrilled with and wouldn't find in the shops.
I couldn't be more impressed; Thank you Mamacha.
Received the alpaca wrist and leg warmers. Great items. Good to know that buying these items helps support skilled workers having better and honest employment benefits and a better life. More power to this seller who sets a good example. Thank you.
I have just received my headband and am delighted with it. I get a lot of earache, even when it's not particularly cold so this is the perfect solution for me. I love alpaca wool and it's good to be able to support a good cause. Could we please have a shawl-collar cardigan?
Love my hat and "vintage mittens". I am waiting for more colours in those mittens. I don't like gloves as much, so to find mittens in alpaca wool was great. Very pleased I found this website, as unfortunately Mamacha does not come to my neck of the woods. Also pleased to support the ladies in Peru, having been to that wonderful country.
I was devastated when my crocheted hat (a Christmas gift) mysteriously disappeared from the gym changing room on a bitterly cold day. Cross though I was, I do understand why it was so desirable: the softness and warmth of it almost make me wishing for the wintry weather and a reason to wear it. I'm delighted to now have its replacement and will be taking great care not to lose this one. Thanks to Amy for getting it to me so quickly and every good wish for the continuing support of Mamacha for the workers of Peru!
I'm extremely impressed with my beautiful, handmade belt and Amy's excellent customer service.
I really shouldn't wear my mamacha zip-up alpaca jumper to the office every day for months on end. But....
Hi,I bought a set of coasters from Amnesty they are really beautiful and very unusual.
I am a keen knitter, have you ever thought of providing alpaca wool?
Thank you, we're glad you like the coasters!
Yes, we have been asked before if we provide alpaca wool. It's something we're planning for the future so watch this space....
Just wearing my newest, 3rd shawl, alpaca and silk combination, very warm and easy, aed with an added luxurious feel... very, very pleased and toastie! Would love to see more shawls/ and colour combinations on the website....
Thanks to Amy for a great service and much luck taking this venture forward.
I was bought a charcoal zip neck jumper for Christmas. Unfortunately it was too big, but Amy agreed to swap it without a moments hesitation (even though I had no receipt)and there was no postage charge for the re-sending of the smaller size - a superb service and a lovely snug jumper too! Many thanks.
My husband loves his charcoal grey jumper, bought at Eton Action Fair this year. It is wonderfully warm whilst being light to wear. Fantastic that it is an ethical clothing product as well - not easy to find at such a good price. About to buy him the same in the green!
Hi Amy, Just to let you know that I'm really delighted with the quality of the alpaca men's jumper, and thanks for sending it through so quickly! Ali
Thank you for a lovely pair of mittens to go with my amazing hat (bought last year) both made by Benedicta...
So love her work.
Mamacha is greenbelt treasure!
Maybe a scarf next year... :)
Thank you so much!
We love the scarf that we bought at Greenbelt! We may share it.......
