Mamacha

About the Founder

Amy Yates founded Mamacha after 3 years of developing and running the project in Sydney, Australia.  She has a sound knowledge and understanding of Peru and has visited the women Mamacha supports three times over the last four years.   Previously, she spent a year living in Trujillo, northern Peru after she left school and went on to study Spanish and Latin American Studies at Nottingham University. She was also an intern at the British Embassy in Lima.  She is fluent in Spanish and passionate about empowering Peruvian women through trade.
